HEALTH WARNING: Canned food.


There is much debate going on about what food is best for our health, with the general concensus being that organic raw fruits and vegetables are the superior food for our well being. However, the most common argument against this diet is convenience and affordability, with many claiming that they simply can not afford to eat a fully raw organic diet and it is more convenient to buy non-organic or even canned fruit. Whatever your choice is, I would highly recommend not eating fruit, or any food from a can. 

Independent research has shown that a harmful chemical used in the processing of cans designed for food has been found in the food itself. 'Bisphenol A – or BPA'  has been discovered in canned fruit and other popular foods. Independent research undertaken by the 'Breast Cancer Fund' claims that BPA can lead to breast cancer and other cancers when this is ingested with the food. 




Other tests have shown that Aluminum from the can could also leak into the food. Many people use sharp can openers to open their can and this can also lead to aluminum leaking into the food. When you think about it, some fruit can remain in the can for up to two years, those preservatives that are used can also be very harmful to the human body. 

It is always best to eat fresh organic fruit and veg, but when you can not do this, clean and wash your products and steep them in apple cider vinegar to remove any chemicals or wax.  Never take the risk and eat from a can, there are always other options.
