Many argue that the Universe is made from sound, everything has a vibration, in fact many cultures claim that the universe was made from sound. Some believe that the creator used vibration to create this universe and not action. For example, the words 'Let there be light' were spoken to bring life giving light to a once dark and empty space. Whatever your feelings on this theory, let's not just shrug it off as some old wives tale.
Throughout history we have learned about the effective use of sound and in particular, music. Ancient people have always used music and chanting in magical rites. Sacred words were chanted in order to create a certain vibration that would influence their sacred rituals and manipulate the universal power to create abundance in their lives.
It has been said that each person and object responds to their own individual key note, and when this note is sounded gently it can have a healing influence upon that person. However, if that note is played harshly, then it can cause illness or sickness to that person.
One example is our taste in music, we all like different music and this is because we feel a connection to that particular vibration or note that is being played.
Many singers have been known to shatter glass while reaching the vibration of that glass and using it against the glass harshly. It is said that the walls of Jericho fell because of this same law.
Others claim that the ancient people knew all about the vibration of sound and knew exactly how to use it. One example is the use of vibration to move large objects and stones, like building of ancient monument like Stonehenge and other standing stones around the world.
Words are very important as they also create a vibration that can cause harm and destruction to someone. On the other hand, words of love can also permeate a persons being and cause them to feel good and grow.
Just like flowers grow more when treated with kindness and words of love and appreciation are spoken. The very same thing happens when we hear our favorite song and feel like dancing in the street.
One instrument that can be used to show what our words and sounds look like is the 'Eidophone'. This is a drum-like container with a tight skin over the top and a powder on the skin. When the user speaks or sings into a tube, the powder then makes the shape of that vibration.
Some vibrations have been shown to take the form of trees, spirals and beautiful flowers. When less beautiful words are spoken into the eidophone then the less beautiful the vibration and therefor the less beautiful the image.
What does your voice look like?
When a person is living closer and more harmonious to the nature of the universe then they will have a more gentle and easy voice. However, when they are not their voice can be rough and chesty and out of balance.
It has been said that the dawn chorus of birds singing tells the young leaves and flowers to bloom in the spring and summertime.
The importance of sound and music in our lives can not be underestimated. Many claim that you can tell someone's health by the tone of their voice. Music can heal us on a deep level just as living near a noisy road will make us ill after time.
The potent sound of music has been used through the years to create many great things and can also help heal divisions. The Ancient peoples knew this as they carried out their dance and song to heal the planet.
